Description

For sample children age 2 to 5 who were ever fed with a bottle (not including bottles with plain water) (BOTFEDEV), BOTFEDNOW reports answers to the question, "Does [child] still use a bottle? Do not include bottles with plain water."

For sample children age 2 to 5 with an affirmative response in BOTFEDNOW, and sample children under 2 with an affirmative response to BOTFEDEV, respondents were asked, "During the past 2 weeks, on how many days was [child] put to bed with a bottle at bedtime or naptime? Do not include bottles with plain water." (BOTFEDAY)

These questions were part of the section of the 1998 sample child Preventive Health Module related to "dental health in children."
