CARE10X identifies persons who received care from doctors or other health professionals 10 or more times during the past 12 months.
Comparability
Beginning in 1999, respondents were specifically directed to exclude telephone calls to health professionals when answering this question. Because this qualification was not part of the question for 1997-1998, researchers should exercise caution when comparing results from before 1999 with results from 1999 forward.
