Description
For sample adults who reported that the level of depression, during the last time they felt depressed, was "somewhere in between a little and a lot" (DEPFEELEVL), DEPFEELCLAR clarifies this response. Interviewers asked, "Would you say this [level of depression] was closer to a little, closer to a lot, or exactly in the middle?" This inquiry was directed only at sample adults included in the Quality of Life supplement (QOLFLAG) who acknowledged having feelings of depression at least monthly (DEPFREQ) or who were taking medication for those feelings (DEPRX).
For a list of related variables on depression, or for information about the Quality of Life supplement, see DEPFREQ.
