DEPFEELEVL
Level of depression, last time depressed

Description

For sample adults included in the Quality of Life supplement (QOL10FLAG) who reported feeling depressed at least monthly (DEPFREQ) or who acknowledged taking medication for depression (DEPRX), DEPFEELEVL reports responses to the question, "Thinking about the last time you felt depressed, how depressed did you feel?" Possible responses were "a little," "a lot," and "somewhere between a little and a lot."

Those who chose the "in between" response were asked, in a follow-up question, whether their level of depression was "closer to a little," "closer to a lot," or "exactly in the middle" (DEPFEELCLAR).

For a list of related variables about depression, or for information about the Quality of Life supplement, see DEPFREQ.
