EXCALISNO
Number times did calisthenics, past 2 weeks

Description

For sample adults who had participated in callisthenics in the past 2 weeks (EXCALIS), EXCALISNO reports the number of times the respondent had participated in callisthenics over those 2 weeks.

After the interviewer determined that a respondent participated in callisthenics, respondents were asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you do callisthenics?"

Related Variables

Respondents were also asked how many minutes on average they had spent doing callisthenics each time during the past 2 weeks (EXCALISMIN) and how much their heart rate or breathing had increased while doing callisthenics(EXCALISBR).

EXCALISNO is used as one of the input variables in the IHIS-created variable EXSUM1, which is a summary variable that reports whether a respondent would have met the exercise recommendations set forth in the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
