Description
For sample adults who had participated in skiing in the past 2 weeks (EXUNSKI), EXUNSKINO reports the number of times the respondent had participated in skiing over those 2 weeks.
After the interviewer determined that a respondent participated in skiing, respondents were asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you go skiing?"
Related Variables
Respondents were also asked how many minutes on average they had spent skiing each time during the past 2 weeks (EXUNSKIMIN) and how much their heart rate or breathing had increased while skiing(EXUNSKIBR).
EXUNSKINO is used as one of the input variables in the IHIS-created variable EXSUM1, which is a summary variable that reports whether a respondent would have met the exercise recommendations set forth in the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
