For sample adults age 18+, HACHEREGYR reports responses to the question, "During the past 12 months, have you had ... Regular headaches?"

For 1997 forward, sample adults were also asked if they had "severe headaches or migraines" during the past three months (MIGRAIN3MO).

Comparability

HACHEREGYR is only available for 2007.

Other questions collected information about headaches for children. Available for 2007 only, HEADACHEYR identifies sample children age 3 to 17 who had recurring headaches, other than migraines, during the past 12 months. For 1997 forward, FHEADYR identifies sample children age 3 to 17 who had frequent or severe headaches, including migraines, during the past 12 months.
