For female sample adults age 18-64 and female sample children age 8-17 who had gotten the HPV vaccine (HPVACHAD), HPVACNO reports the number of HPV shots received.
According to the CDC website on HPV, the vaccine should be administered in 3 intra-muscular injections given over 6 months. CDC recommendations on HPV vaccination are as follows:
Persons who had not received the HPV vaccine were asked a series of questions about their interest in the vaccine and the barriers (such as cost) to vaccination. Specifically, these questions (and their associated IHIS questions) are:
- Ever heard about HPV vaccine (HPVACHEAR)

- Would get HPV shot if recommended (HPVACGETREC)
