Description
HSTATYR reports responses to the question, "Compared with 12 months ago, would you say that [your/sample child's] health is better, worse, or about the same?"
Rating of the individual's current state of health on a four-point (1972-81) or five-point scale (1982 forward) --based on self-evaluation or evaluation by a family member--is reported in HEALTH.
Universe
- 1984: Sample persons age 55+ who did not use a proxy respondent.
- 1997-2010: Sample adults age 18+ and sample children under age 18.
