Description
IMPMOB identifies sample children who had an impairment or health problem that limited their ability to crawl, walk, run, or play. (For definition of "health problem," see EQUIPMENT).
Directly prior to asking the question associated with IMPMOB, interviewers asked whether the sample child needed to use special equipment due to a health problem, with responses included in the variable EQUIPMENT. Together, the substantive material in IMPMOB and EQUIPMENT overlaps with another variable, LAWALK, on difficulty walking without special equipment, due to a health problem, that covers the entire survey population.
