Description

For sample adults who ever looked up health information on the Internet (PCLOOKHELEV), PCLOOKHELYR indicates whether they looked up such information on the Internet in the past 12 months.

As part of the Health Information Technology (HIT) supplement, PCLOOKHELYR is one of ten variables on the use of computers to access health information and services. As the 2009 Survey Description points out, the NHIS for that year was the first nationally representative household survey to collect data on the use of the Internet "for health information and medical communication."
