Description
SEIZUREV identifies sample adults whom a doctor or other health professional had ever diagnosed as having seizures.
Seizures were not defined in the survey documentation but were grouped with epilepsy in questions relating to conditions that limited an individual's activity. Other possible causes of seizures in adults include structural damage to the brain, such as head injury, stroke, or tumor.
For 1997 forward, SEIZUREYR identifies sample children who had seizures during the past 12 months.
