For sample adults who were ever told by a doctor that they had a stomach, duodenal, or peptic ulcer (ULCEREV), ULCERAGE reports age when first diagnosed with an ulcer.
For sample adults in 1997 forward, interviewers also collected information about whether persons ever diagnosed with an ulcer had an ulcer during the past 12 months (ULCERYR).
