Codes and Frequencies
For sample adults age 18 and over who were ever told they have glaucoma in 1991, (GLAUCOMAEV), and persons age 18 and over who have ever been told by a doctor that they have diabetes in 1989, this variable identifies whether respondents were using medication for glaucoma at the time of the interview. The terms "medication" and "now" were respondent-defined.
In 1989, the question for this variable was part of the diabetes follow-up questions, hence the different universe.
- 1989: Persons age 18+ who have ever been told by a doctor that they have diabetes.
- 1991: Sample persons age 18+ ever told by doctor they have glaucoma.
- 1989, 1991
